Can I exercise while pregnant?

At CrossFit Palms, we offer pre- and postnatal training, with a focus on safe and effective training for pregnant and postpartum women. Our certified coaches are specially trained to guide women through exercising during pregnancy and the postnatal period.

What can you expect during a mom(2b)fit class?

One of the biggest concerns of pregnant women is how to stay fit while keeping their growing baby healthy. Many women are afraid that they can no longer do intense workouts, such as CrossFit. But the good news is that exercising can be safe during pregnancy, as long as you know what you are doing and adapt to the changes in your body.

But what if you have never done CrossFit before and you have just become pregnant? No problem! Our coaches work closely with you to ensure that you can start training in a safe and effective way, even if you have never done CrossFit before.

During prenatal training, the focus is on safely maintaining strength and fitness while adjusting the workouts to the individual needs of each pregnant woman. This means that exercises are adjusted to account for the changes in the body, such as the growing belly and the changes in hormone levels.

During postpartum training, the focus is on restoring the pelvic floor, strengthening the abdominal muscles and building strength. Our coaches will work with you to ensure you can safely and effectively return to your pre-pregnancy training. This means that exercises are modified to account for any complications that may arise after childbirth, such as a diastasis or pelvic pain.
